Darby Bible
“AndGod set them in the expanse of the heavens, to give light on the earth,”
— Genesis 1:17, Darby Bible
“And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,”
“And God set them in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth,”
“God set them in the expanse of sky to give light to the earth,”
“God placed the lights in the expanse of the sky to shine on the earth,”
“And he set them in the firmament of heaven to shine upon the earth.”
“And God put them in the arch of heaven, to give light on the earth;”
“And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,”
AndGod said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens, to divide between the day and the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years;
and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens, to give light on the earth. And it was so.
AndGod made the two great lights, the great light to rule the day, and the small light to rule the night, — and the stars.
AndGod set them in the expanse of the heavens, to give light on the earth,
and to rule during the day and during the night, and to divide between the light and the darkness. AndGod saw that it was good.
And there was evening, and there was morning — a fourth day.
AndGod said, Let the waters swarm with swarms of living souls, and let fowl fly above the earth in the expanse of the heavens.
